Dr. Rashid graduated from Aga Khan University, Medical School, Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by a clinical chief residency. She earned a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Rashids interests include immigrant and refugee medicine, bioethics, global health (focusing on women with HIV/AIDS), tuberculosis, and antimicrobial stewardship. She has presented her research in local and national meetings, as well as in several publications. In regard to patient care, she is dedicated and compassionate as a physician and clinician.

Dr. Rashid serves as a hospitalist member, caring exclusively for patients admitted to the hospital and working with primary physicians to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home.
