Dr. Gupta is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and has advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and interventional endoscopy. He is assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Dr. Gupta's interests include pancreatico-biliary endoscopy which includes a wide spectrum of therapeutic procedures like biliary and pancreatic manometry, biliary and pancreatic stents, stone removal, cholangioscopy, electrohydraulic shock wave lithotripsy, EUS with fine needle aspiration, interventional EUS and other therapeutic endoscopic procedures which include esophageal and enteral stents. Dr. Gupta also has a special interest in the development of medical devices and is involved in multicenter research trials.
