Dr. Williams is the assistant chief of Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. He divides his time between direct patient care, teaching, research, and administrative duties.
His main interests include infectious disease, antimicrobial resistance, emerging infections, and immigrant health. Dr. Williams is a former governor of the Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Physicians. He is a professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
