Dr. Peine graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his residency training in internal medicine and was a Chief Resident at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Mayo Clinic. His practice and research interests include advanced liver disease, viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis and other causes of liver disease. Dr. Peine is the Chief of Gastroenterology.
